Following our conclusion of unit 3, we quickly advanced to unit 4 (genetics) and unit 5 (Organelles and mitosis)
For genetics, we went in depth about the gene composition and sex linked/autosominal inherited traits. We discovered specific chromosomes coded for specific traits of a organelle's offspring. To demonstrate my learning of genes in unit 4, I have created a glog on ALS disease.

Unit 5 did not involve many new things, however it went in depth into more cell biology, especially the process of mitosis and cytokinesis in different types of cells. We also learned many new organelles in a cell and their functions.
A prezi that I have made provides a lot of information on cell organelles.

Unit 5 part 2, Cancer.
After we came back from winter break, we went right into cancer study, we discovered that cancer involves basically all information from unit 3 all the way to 5. We are currently working on a long review paper about a particular cancer or treatment type to demonstrate our knowledge of unit 5. Once I have finished mine, I will post it on here.
